so im going down the "beginner" terrain park at my local moutain. i go off this small little kicker, 180, land and my ski just falls off and keeps going? i see that my brake broke off, and im wondering how it happened, i landed it just fine, and my brake broke. So what im trying to say is, that this is my first year sking, and im progressing fast. I just got my twin tips for christmas this year, and im sorta pissed the brake broke. how much is it to fix it? how much is a new brake generaly? if you could help me out id appreciate it.
brakes run at about 50 dollars, that piece that holds the brake on your binding i replaced on my px 12s for 10 bucks. the reason it broke would be because when you landed you probably landed a little bit with your skis on angle so it hit the snow and broke. it happens more often than youd think. about 60 dollars most likely
my brake broke off my binding just the other day too, and I just took it into my local shop and they fixed it for free. depends on if your brake is actually broken though, or if it just fell off
friend totaled the brake and brackets on his salomon 14's mounted on a pair of afterbangs. i took it to a local ski shop and it was only 20 a ski and they did it right then and there
