i have an 80gb classic, it has always worked well for me but today after skiing (no hard falls on it, it was working perfectly fine on the drive home) i plugged it in to charge it and the screen changes and itunes says that is starting to restore the ipod. i press eject, try to turn on the ipod and in goes to a screen that says it needs to restore and to connect it to a computer. i have tried connecting it to 3 different computers and each time it doesn't connect to the computer, it just freezes the itunes program and does nothing. any one have this problem or know how to fix it?
Hopefully you are a smart enough person to backup the music/game files. If thats not the case then I have nothing for you because you are fucked. It needs a restore weather you want it or not.
thanks for some help unlike the other two... and yes i have all my music still on my itunes, the problem is that it won't restore. i plug it into the computer and it doesn't do anything. any ideas on why this might be?
