Replying to Xbox repair?

havent made a thread in years it seems but got a question for yall. my xbox disk tray wont close. it will close for a second, then shoot back out. even when i power the system off, it stays open. any body have any ideas? i googled it but everything seems to involve taking it apart and im not feeling up to doing that. xbox repair would be at least $100 since my warrantys up. any suggestions? anybody have experience with microsofts repair?
