Where should I mount my GoPRo on my helmet?

Hey guys,
just got a gopro the other day and want to put the adhesive curved mount on my helmet.
Where is the optimal spot on the helmet to place the adhesive?
It really annoys me in a gopro edit where you can:
a. See part of the helmet
b. not see enough of the skis

Is there any trick to achieving gopro mounting perfection?

just use the elastic miners headband.. you can adjust it quite a bit and it won't leave the mount on your helmet when you are not filming.

my friend has one and he puts it on the top center of his helmet. it works perfect for him. the actual camera is obviously at the front but yeah. its been working really good for us

It works great since you can adjust the camera to point more up and more down.  Check my videos for the footage I have gotten with it.

Go about an inch forward from the top of your helmet. This is some footage of the camera like this. Keep in mind that my helmet has a fairly big visor. And you can adjust the mount with the attachment piece.

i got a helmet with a brim, i mounted my cam just where the brim begins, so on the top of my forehead and i've never had any part of the helmet or brim visible in my vids...
its only visible when i tilt the cam ridiculously downward

the way i approached it; i just put on my helmet and held the cam with the mount pressed against the place i tought was good; then walked around the house while filming; then analized the footage and decided it should be more forward or backward, until i had the perfect spot....

Ok guys I put it where jamrock recommends. perfect spot.
Jamroc- what angle do you use normally to get a little bit of the skis in the shot?
Could you give me a pic please?

^^ bear in mind that different resolution settings have different fields of view....
so what angle works great for 960p might need some change for 1080p....

but anyway it all comes down to shooting with it and learning from your errors; just try and see!

my friend has my camera so I cant take a picture for a few days but what I do is put the cam on the helmet and hold it beside my head and just eyeball it.  I suggest playing around with it to see what angle you like best.
