When do Liberty and Whitetail usually close?

Wondering how many more weeks I have before the mountains close. Anyone know generally when they close every year?

Mid march, could be longer this year with the deeper than usual base. Plus Liberty is firing up snowguns as I type.

Heading out to Whitetail tonight and they reported making snow last night. I think traditionally they just stop shooting snow at the end of February and let this deteriorate.

It all depends on a few things, snow coverage, attendance, and the electric bill in march they don't get a reduced rate, these are the most determining factors.  It usually ends mid march but has lasted till march 31st before, still too early to predict.

the snow is complete slush and i dont think its gonna get any better... but itd be worth it for the parks

It is crazy how much base we have in West Side park. I plan on making that a reality next year to have a post season session.

Not meant to make cash.  Meant to be PR for the mountain by opening after we closed, and having a fun end of the season instead of the three day rain storm and closing.

Insurance reasons maybe?

I don't have much faith. Chances are we aren't going to get that kind of snowfall next year.

Not to be a downer, but I'm considering not even getting a pass for next year.

True. But I'd rather take trips. And since I might start my Masters degree next winter, won't have any time during the week to ski.

But yes, I'll miss riding.
