Lost a ski. In the market again...

I ride east coast and lost a ski today in some deep stuff. Its gone until june since were getting 1'-2' again tonight. I'm looking for a new pair of skis that I can ride everyday (park, all mountain, pow when we get it) but still be different than my last pair of 08/09 Line Prophet 90s in case I get it back in one piece for next season. I'm not huge into park (70/30 all mountain/park) but am progressing on rails and jumps and want to get better. Im looking into something around the same width and with a little more flex than my prophets or go wider and get something like a Blend. Suggestions?

if you want something with the same width but softer, get the Anthems, they do ride around the mountain very well. But if you want to go wider go with the Blends or even Lizzies (110 underfoot) which will be super fun everywere you go.

check out levelninesports.com

they've got some pretty cheap good skis. mojo 90s for around 200, liberty hazmats for around 300. both in 186, both excellent skis (i've got a pair of 186 hazmats). you could mount them close to center and have a more park oriented ski that still can rip powder.

if you're not into those, check out kung fujas, salomon guns or kung fujas if you want something softer. not sure if there are any good deals on any of those though.

this. My friend lost both his skis on a closed trail when we were in sight of the chairlift. We went up later with a shovel and told ski patrol they fell off on the lift and dug them out. you can't just give up on a ski.

Trust me I looked long and hard for it. I was out of bounds at sugarloaf and looked for 2 hours until it got dark. That night we got another foot of snow to help burry it even further. I'm not too worried about it not showing up in the spring. I'll probably bring a shovel up next time I go.

And thanks for the responses. I think I'll end up getting something like an anthem depending on what I can find for deals.

i think lizzies would be perfect for you. fatter, softer and an extremely fun jib ski that works real well in pow. it is also relatively light for park. hope that helps

Don't get Anthems for 70% all-mountain. They're symmetrical and don't carve too well compared to some other skis.

As already said, Elizabeths are fun. Definitely recommended! Don't mount center, mount 1 or 2 cm back if you decide to get them.

Did you basically take off your ski and bury it like treasure or what, because I've never heard of people skiing and then all of a sudden losing a ski as it flops off?
