My dog ate my hash cookies

so my dog around 10 of my hash cookies yesterday night around 10 pm now its 4 pm the nest day he has thrown up twice and seems like he is almost drunk
what do i do ?
will he die?
haha help?

your dog has to be having the time of his life. For real. Imagine how boring a dogs life is. Introduce hash to the mix. He is just fine. But he may die.

my friends dog ate a whole thing of weed butter and puked a few times he was high for like 2 days but he is fine now.

thc is to dogs poisonous in large quantities so its a good thing hes puking. but im sure he will get it all out of his system in a few days and be back to normal, probably with a whole new outlook on life.

I'm sad that you have let your dog throw up twice so far with out taking it to the vet.

Was there chocolate involved? How big is the dog?



I was house sitting for a couple with a bishon/poodle and was putting away groceries to discover the dog had pulled out a bag of baking chocolate and consumed nearly the hole thing. I waited an hour before taking it to the vet. A few more hours and she would have been dead.



Lots and lots of water... My guess is that if it already vomited twice, anything in its system is already out, and now its just the drugs in the blood stream.

just try to get the dog to puke that shit up. you should have done it a long time ago when the dog first ate them. as for the girl with the baking chocolate. all the vets did was made the dog puke that shit up. nothing you cant do in your own home.

1. find your mothers nicest turkey baster

2. fill the turkey baster with hydrogen peroxide

3. pry the dogs mouth open and put the baster to the back of the dogs mouth.

4. spray the hydrogen peroxide. if you get the baster down far enough it will force the dog to swallow

5. put the dog outside and wait 10 mins. dont want the dog to puke all over the house.

those are the steps that my father''s buddy told me to do when my dog killed a box of chocolates. my fathers friend is a vet.

Maybe take him to a vet if your really woried but you just have to wait it out. My friends dog got into a big batch of his pot brownies and was out of it for a a day haha. He could barely stand and also looked drunk when he tried to walk around. Not really funny though because his dog got into around three batches in a period of like two weeks and died a little later. He was a really old dog but the brownies definitely didnt help.

i have smoked up my dog a few times

pretty funny stuff, he would run around the back yard, drink alot of water then lay down for the rest of the day.

This happened to my dog once. She ate an entire weed rice krispie from the California cannabis club out of my sister's friend's purse. She just slept all day and pissed herself. Not a huge deal, but it kinda sucked for her and us. She's all better now.

your dog will be fine, hes just really high. my dog gets smoked up often, its sorta funny. one of my friends dogs ate a gram of coke, and didnt die. probably would have if it wasnt like 70 pounds though...

it isn't in the dogs stomach. It is in the small intestine being absorbed.

As someone stated above imagine you ate that much. I have thrown up from edibles, 1g firecracker of DANK bud and no tolerance did it for me. Bring him his favorite blanket or bed and get him to sleep. Try and get him to drink lots of water and eat lots of food. He will be fine tomorrow

ahahaha this same thing happened to me. My sister had about a dozen very potent weed cookies stashed under her bed and my dog Marshall sniffed them out and ate all of them. My sister came screaming into my room about how i stole her cookies and left a huuuuuge mess. later on we discovered my dog curled up on the couch and his eyes were all red and glossy. I think he was high for almost 12 hours. It is funny now that we look back on it although it was kind of scary at the time. i wish i had a picture of marshall on the couch

yea so he ate the whole bag of hash cookies ( including the bag) and he threw it up in the yard and there were still like like 3 or so cookies in the bag and he ripped it open and licked it clean.

Toxic Levels

The good news is that it takes, on average, a fairly large amount of theobromine 100-150 mg/kg to cause a toxic reaction. Although there are variables to consider like the individual sensitivity, animal size and chocolate concentration.

On average,
Milk chocolate contains 44 mg of theobromine per oz.
Semisweet chocolate contains 150mg/oz.
Baker's chocolate 390mg/oz.

Using a dose of 100 mg/kg as the toxic dose it comes out roughly as:
1 ounce per 1 pound of body weight for Milk chocolate
1 ounce per 3 pounds of body weight for Semisweet chocolate
1 ounce per 9 pounds of body weight for Baker's chocolate.

So, for example, 2 oz. of Baker's chocolate can cause great risk to an 15 lb. dog. Yet, 2 oz. of Milk chocolate usually will only cause digestive problems.

Clinical Signs

Xanthines affect the nervous system, cardiovascular system and peripheral nerves. It has a diuretic effect as well. Clinical signs:

Hyper excitability
Hyper irritability
Increased heart rate
Restlessness
Increased urination
Muscle tremors
Vomiting
Diarrhea

Treatment

There is no specific antidote for this poisoning. And the half life of the toxin is 17.5 hours in dogs. Induce vomiting in the first 1-2 hours if the quantity is unknown. Administering activated charcoal may inhibit absorption of the toxin. An anticonvulsant might be indicated if neurological signs are present and needs to be controlled. Oxygen therapy, intravenous medications, and fluids might be needed to protect the heart.

Milk chocolate will often cause diarrhea 12-24 hours after ingestion. This should be treated symptomatically (fluids, etc..) to prevent dehydration.

If you suspect your pet has ingested chocolate contact your Vet immediately! They can help you determine the the proper treatment for your pet.

I deffinately saw this on "That 70's Show." It was the Tommy Chong's character, I think his name was Leo, thought he was gonna get busted for posession, and then found out he had dog food on him instead of his stash, and then it flashed back to his dog who was flying through rainbow clouds with a cape on

your dog will be fine..my pooch used to always get into our hash water after my brother and i would make a batch of hash.. he is just really really high.. just five him some beer in his bowl and let him do what he wants outside.. it is really funny shit.. then make some greasy dinner and poor the grease on his dinner and watch that shit dissappear before you eyes

My dog polished off 2 dozen chocolate cupcakes and 2 big bags of hershey kisses in one sitting, she was loving it, didnt puke or diarrhea or anything.

I still feed her chocolate all the time now
