Photo Contest Week 14 - in the hands of you

Congrats to freestyle180 , who not only placed Top 5 last week and this week, but was the winner of this weeks’ contest on Architecture.

He wasn’t quite sure what to pick for Week 14’s topic, so he wanted to hand it off to the runner up. But, the other 4 photos were basically tied in number of votes, give or take a couple. SO!

I thought it would be a fun idea to let the participants (you guys) pick the topic of the next round. It will work just like contest itself does, minus the Top 5 round. Everyone will submit their idea to this thread, and after submissions we will have a short voting round. What do you say? If there is too much nay-say, no_steeze and I can figure out another option. Thanks!

(Submissions will end on Saturday at 11:59)

sounds cool.

My entry is Unconventional Lens Optics. Im doing it for a class assignment in film but i dont see why it wouldn't work for digital too. All you have to do is take the most creative picture using some sort of alternative lens at the end of your camera. things such as magnifying glass lenses, pint glasses, goggles, peep holes glasses, the possibilities are endless. i watched a presentation in class on it and some amazing pictures can come out of this. Although since most will be digital you lose the opportunity to utilize light leaks and such.

i know that's a massive pain in the ass, so even like the last 6 or so would help. i've got a few ideas but i haven't been following the photo contests recently, and don't want to suggest something that has just been done

well there hasn't been a winter-themed topic yet, so i guess mountain shots would be my first suggestion.
i was also thinking "curiosities". not really sure how to explain this, but i guess it would be about out-of-the-ordinary events, objects, etc. something to really capture that feeling of wonder or mystery

then how would that relate anything to this "photo contest" Neg on the pain idea, honestly that is just going to be  10 people tops, pulling images from files. Completely underminig the point of these contests. (ya know, go shoot during the time, not just pull images that you have already posted on NS a couple of times..)

Also Neg on the sequences idea, IMO sequences are fairly lame, and most beginning photos rey on them. However, I do think  a winter theme is in order. That or a storytelling/photo journalistic theme, see who can tell the best story with one picture.

You have to take a picture of yourself. wether it be holding the cam in front of your face, or taking a Benchetler type shot in the air or something.

From the Car. might be fun to make people take a pic of the outdoors while in a car.

^ kinda made me think of another. Indoors Looking Out. pretty self-explanatory.
