Agent 80 trouble?

So ive been riding with my technica agent 80 ski boot for just about a full season now and im starting to have some serious trouble with these boots.  Ive already had to relpace the toe and heal things on the bottom of my boots twice this season, though this isnt really anything to worry about. thats just from walking around.  what buggs me is that one of my buckles cracked in half, apparently frum the mettal just being too cold, and that ive had to relpace my liners with a pair to nordica supercharger liners cause the technica ones got large holes in the heals.  i feel like i shouldnt have to relpace this many things on a pair or skiboots after only skiing on them for 100 or so days.  I don know tho. Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems whith these boots.

that definately sounds like a lot of issues but 100 days is a lot for a pair of boots imo. especially the 80 which is a lighter/more flexible boot. especially if you ride aggressively
I have the 95's and other than the liner starting to feel a little flat i havent had any issues with the buckles or heel pieces. ive probably got about 50-60 days on them.

not to sound like a douche. but you bought a cheap boot. the entire boot is an inferior boot compared to say the Agent 120. the shell everything.

there is no way that boots should be that beat after that period of time. ive been skiing my old sallys for 4 seasons now, and ill admit they are due for a replacement, but they are still perfectly functioning. (IE nothing wrong with them, just packed out, and no longer fitting my skiing style) want something burlier.

There are 3 main components to any ski boot: shell (plastics), liner (soft or dense foams), and buckles (plastic or metal) and the price of the boot tends to reflect the level quality of each of these.  In the Agent 80, you don't have very high end plastics, liners, or buckles so the boot will break down faster than normal, which is about 120-150 days of skiing.  You might get a shell to last longer than that, but never a liner.  If companies made a liner dense enough to last 200+ days of skiing, it would be so dense that the first 50-60 would be absolute punishment to ski on.

HOWEVER, you can maximize those 120-150 days by always taking your liners out to dry when you are done skiing.  If you leave wet, rotting liners inside the shell they will only last so long.  LJ (sorry buddy haha) is the worst at this and goes through about 2 pairs of boots a year because of it.  If you take your liners out to dry, your feet and your friends will thank you.
