i'm going to be completely honest.  i almost cried.  i am not embarrassed about that one bit, i'm actually proud of it.  even though i never met CR, he was always the one guy who's powder segment i looked forward to in the movies each september.  i still love his fluid, clean style that is just so effortless, that nobody else in freeskiing can replicate.  this just goes to show how close knit the freeskiing community is.  even though i never met him, i feel like i did.  unfortunately, i will never be able to ski with him, or even meet him.  RIP CR, you will be missed

i got choked up reading that. My mom read it too and she was holding back tears by the end. Lifes too damn short. CR will be greatly missed. Man was truly an inspiration. RIP CR and respect.

I was shocked when I saw mike douglas has posted that CR had past away. CR is who got me into freesking. My first ever non Warren Miller ski movie was when my cousin gave my brothers and I a copy of The Front Line, who he had had CR personally sign for us. I've always looked up to him. RIP



anyone have any footage of that 1400? I'd love to see that.

So sad to hear today.

CR was planned to come to Montana to be the head judge at a rail jam downtown, and to hear this was so sad.
I never meet him but reading all the artivles and repeatedly rewatching his segments make me realise that life can go real fast. He was one of the best skier and feel on anormal ski day at the hill and that happebd. RIP CR you will be missed

"change is the only constant..." as much of a blow this is to the freeskiing community, at the simplest level, this is a change that we need to cope with. I think the best way to do that, is simply go ski. and love it for what it is, in the moment. not for what the snow COULD be, or the sun COULD be out, but what it is.
