Replying to CR Inspired. Why the skiing community is so great.

Common_Cents:
After hearing of CR Johnsons death today i got to thinking. One reason skiing is so great is because of the community and how the athletes of skiing are so close with eachother, and patrons of the sport. The thing that really puts skiing above other sports in my mind, is how professional skiers are often so easy to strike up a conversation with and you can even just ride with them and hang with them on a days notice. Try doing that with a pro basball or football player? not gonna happen! Thats why, i feel like when hearing about CR's death people 100% feel dispaired and truly sad about this because they know CR was just another skier that loved the sport. Maybe it is because skiing isnt so publizied and kept more out of the public eye but still, i feel like pro skiers truly do care about the sport and i would much rather spend a day skiing with andy parry or steve stepp than watch Albert pujols hit a home run. So yeah maybe you cant just walk up and ski with the simon dumonts, and tanner halls of the sport, but in general i think the skiing fans and community are the coset intertwined than any other sport. by. far.
