CR Johnson has Passed Away

I just got a text message. Apparently CR hit his head on a rock while skiing Headwall (Squaw) this morning and has passed away. I will keep this thread updated with details as I get them.

This is gonna sound stupid possibly but you know how the wolf shirts are where the wolf kinda fades in from the side so to speak? Maybe something like that with a profile like pic of CR?

rip cr.  always one of my biggest influences.  u went way to soon but u were doing what u loved and i agree..the feeling i get skiing is worth dieing for as well.

I met him at an MSP premiere, nicest guy you could ever meet. Ill always look up at that poster hanging in my room that says "BLESS -CR" on it and remember a legend

Dude thats reeaallly tight id buy one for sure.. As for a suggestion what about something simple like a sun (seven sunny days) or even a few snow capped mountains with the sun on the horizon

DAMN! We've been having the worst winter in about 10 years so I haven't done any skiing. When I don't ski I'm usually not in the mood to browse the ski forums or hear any ski news. Today caught a pic on facebook with a caption about thinking about Shane and CR. I thought to myself, "why thinking about CR?" I knew it wasn't going to be good news but I started digging through the pages to find this thread. My heart stopped when I found it....

RIP CR. You will be truly missed. You were definitely a legend and from someone who has been around since the beginning of the newschool era, you were inspirational to watch, right from the first few pics I caught of you in Freeze and Freeskiier.

i won a pair of skis at the ski movie 2 premiere in mass way back when. cr was one of the guys to give em to me and he was mad chill. that guy had real bad luck and i feel for him. he was sick too his opening segment in ski movie 3 killed it.

what a great guy. i had the pleasure of meeting him at the PBP premiere last year. Got a freeskiier signed by him, then and now my most prized piece of ski memorabilia.

I remember my mom reading me the news article. Before I newschooled. I wish i still had it. Because i just didn't think it could be true. One of those things that hits you like a train. I started crying. He was an idol to me. and to have him die at a place that i loved and skied so many times.

Its still hard to swallow
