I just got a text message. Apparently CR hit his head on a rock while skiing Headwall (Squaw) this morning and has passed away. I will keep this thread updated with details as I get them.

I remember back in the day CR was so far ahead of his time. Guy was boosting huge in the pipe and also in the BC. I forget which MSP movie it was but CR did this bio 10 first hit and it just blew my mind.
Guy was a pioneer, and one of the best skiers in his time. Sucks about the luck he had after his head injury and with his sponsors.
The guy really inspired me, and as a result I feel like I know him. At least he died doing something he loved, but he was far too young.
RIP CR.
Another good read at MSP http://www.skimovie.com/index.php/news/details/cr-johnson-october-8th-1983-february-24th-2010/
Very moving article... the best quote comes at the end of his story...
"Every icy day, every deep pow day… EVERY day is a blessing. When we can appreciate every experience for all that it is, we will never need nor want more."
All I can say to that is... Word CR, word. RIP
RIP/SIP gave so much stoke to all of us -
