Law enforcement class

So im taking a law enforcement operations class at a community college cause i fucked up my last semester and am just taking stupid classes to stay on my parents insurance now but anyway i have a test tomorrow and was just wondering if you guys have any good ideas for the essay questions. so her it goes.


1. Describe at least three factors that make an eye whitness unreliable. (not expecting you to know specifics but any any ideas could help)

2. (important one) Say you were the new police chief of your community. What new crime prevention programs would you add to those that are already presented.

some kind of connection to the suspect
having talked to other witnesses (will fill in the blanks with other people's info not their own



2.) some kind of citizen involvement program
maybe a citizens police academy type thing

Those have got to be the most basic ass questions imaginable. I could have bullshitted my way to an A in that class when I was 15. It's pathetic that you actually had to go online to get some ideas for this.

during traumatic events a persons memory can be false. there was a case were a priest was almost sent to jail because the police told the witnesses that the suspect was wearing one of those priest collar things.(not catholic) they all identified the priest as the robber. he was let off when the real robber confessed.

2. take a look a community policing.
ride along programs for teens

1). If the witness has any relation to the criminal.  Drug user.  has a criminal record. their story of what happened is constantly changing.

2). Neighborhood watch (if the neighborhood doesnt have one). Community policing where the officers get to know the people of the community and those people can inform the officers of anything suspicious.

in my neighbourhood we have some sort of neighbourhood watch as well + the police have some sort of list with all our cellphone numbers; when something happens in our "hood", lets say its night and there is a fugitive on the run; they can text us to close our doors and put on all the lights in the yard and driveway so police can track him/her more easily ....

happened 3x last year; its quite cool !
