i have a seasons pass there and i must say that Granite Peak has a much larger park that's set up better. imo.

havent been skiing in Wisconsin but ive heard from friends that Granite is a pretty cool place to ski. (for the midwest) they are gapers.
haha if im going to sink the money into a multi day skiing adventure it wont be to anyplace within 16 hours driving time of here. haha

yeah granite is good but nothing close to average parks out west. the only thing granite doesnt have that spirit has is the freeskiing scene. granite has far less freeskiers there, while spirit has almost as much skiers as there are boarders.

from the midwest? who are you kidding? 16 hours MIGHT get you to the border of colorado, maybe. i live in ohio and to get to kansas city missouri it takes me about 14.5 hours or a bit more. no matter if im driving the jeep or the suby. to get to colorado from here is more of a 24hr drive, if not more. not to mention the most BORING drive ever

I ski at Granite a lot and we went up to Spirit to film and I was blown away by their amazing jump line! Unfortunatly it rained for the 3 days we were there and we couldn't hit them at all :(

Granite Peak is pretty dope. Tyrol is nice, but on the small side. Haven't been to Perfect North yet, but they always have a good park.

Ordinarily I'd say perfect north, but this year it's pretty lame. From what I've heard mad river is the shit.

right, thats what i meant. last time i drove it took about 16 hours to make it to Summit County (dammit nebraska)
i wont be sinking the money into a multi day trip to some place like Granite because it would be cheaper for me to hop a plane to Utah..

I'd just like to know why you consider it "pretty lame" when everyone else that rides it says its "really fun"

Idk just seems like there is never much variety. Everything is the same ol same ol "oh a jump" "oh a rail" type thing. Only thing that is different to me is the wall. Which I must admit is set up super sick right now.
