Replying to Olympic athletes gear

no i dont want to buy it.

what with the gear? i see some people wearing crowbars, and then i see people like hanna kearney wearing shitty flat lens goggles
even Bode Miller has these flat lens Briko goggles, they looks like crap.
and some (non racing skiers, like mogul skiers) wear these crappy looking helmets.

I mean they are olympic athletes with sponsors and all the gear they could possibly need. why don't they wear the nicest stuff? i mean Bode's Birko goggles are flat lenses, wouldnt that be even less aerodynamic? whats the deal?
