Need help with choice of skis.

im 5' 4" and maybe 110 lbs.
i spend probably 85% of my time in the park, but i occasionally venture into the backcountry.
the last 2.5 years ive been on 151, 2008-LINE invaders, i love them in the park, but they sometimes get frustrating in the pow. I dont want to buy skis that are too much longer (because i dont want to not be able to spin)
...suggestions?

the 2007s?
and ya i mean, im really looking for something thats going to be really good in park, but have just enough veratility to not just die in the powder.

those all look so tight!... its too bad that they dont make anything shorter than a 171.

a longer ski is definitely not going to destroy your ability to spin anyway you might want to pick up some anthems like a 161 i think that would be fine for you and the extra girth will float you right up

you think anthems would be better than the afterbangs?... i dont know much about them besides the fact that they have snowboarders as the graphics.

The fujatives were one of my favorite pairs. But Fischer Addicts are where it's at. I just bought another pair because I outgrew my old ones. But you should definitely consider addicts because they're great all mountain but they're also super sick in the park.

i mean ya, they look fine. but im really looking to get a 2010 model (new) becuase i am going to have the invaders as my backup ski anyways.

thats just my opinion yeah I don't own either but i have used some of my friends and i definitely like the anthems better just the flex and on rail performance and they seem a lot more durable two of my friends have anthems and they both seem pretty bombproof and two of my friends had afterbangs and one of them broke them pretty easily

I think i no what he meens by not lossing my ablility to spin..some skis have carry weight which is when you spin your skis arent with you ..there behind abit ....but a ski that doesnt have that..and is a park ski but can hold up in the pow might be the chronic cyptonite ...from what i have heard

You're 110lbs...they won't be too soft trust me and you ride Invaders now so I am almost positive those are softer than Lizzies...but don't take my word for it.

But really..some longer skis would be more beneficial in the future because one day you are going to not be 5'4 anymore...unless you have stopped growing..than sorry for the comment :(

you dont think that a 20 cm jump would be too much? i would love to own a ON3P ski... but i also dont want to lose all my tricks

Not a callout, but I am 99% sure Lizzies are softer than Invaders when they are new. I have heard invaders soften off much more though.
07/08 EP Pros were the softest skis ever and Lizzies are not too far behind.
That said you are right that at 110lbs they won't be too soft.

Oh word yah wasn't sure...thanks for clearing that up.

So I guess it really depends on whether or not you like soft skis or stiffer skis.

Chronic Cyrptonite, the Chronics are amazing and with the extra width of the Cyrptonite you will do really well in the pow.

yeah, i was definetly looking at the cryptonite reveiws earlier and from what ive seen they look pretty much right on target with what im going for.

trust me you can. i went from a 151 to a 171 moment jib and i can do many more trix than before.  you will feel super confident in you landings. im 5 3 125 so weigh more than you but trust me 171 will be a great fit for you

i definetly am up for going with the on3p'... the more that i look at them the more excited i get. i would also be happy about buying from/ supporting a local comapany as opposed to buying rossies.

I live on the east coast so I dont get alot of powder but my 09 anthems hit some  8 inch pow and held up just fine. I love them I can use them for flying down groomers to rocking the steeper trails. There great on jumps and I have never had a problem with them on rails. The only problem I really have had with them is that the topsheet delaminates so fast so if your into looks this isnt your ski.

thank you for that, i definetly can understand how it would help the landings... and you didnt feel like it was a lot harder to spin or anything?
