It's not "The Olympics" who had a problem with it, it's the US Olympic Association, and the US ski and snowboard association.

If he were from France or something it's likely that nobody in that country's association would care at all, they would probably have been handing him a cigarette to smoke while shit went down.

But yeah, don't criticize the Olympics for this, criticize the lame asses who run the US Associations.
