Taking pics today, hopefully some turn out. The judging was a little shatty though, some kids made it to the finals that really didn't deserve it.

Everybody who made it to the finals deserved it. They landed solid tricks. The top ten was easy to pick out, but the last five was a harder decision. A lot of people were going for it but not riding away clean. There was a lot of sloppy half landed tricks. The jam was went on forever so of course everybody is going to have there own opinions. Last night was the first time the snowboarding stood out more than the skiing did in my eyes.

You killed it, everyone agreed on your legitimacy. You skied hard and gave it 110%.

Email me at evan@pharnorth.com and I will get you some stuff and see who else I can't get to throw in some stuff for you. Missy was bummed about the ladies situation playing out the way it did. I promise that next year if Phar North is there, girls will be recognized. I was thinking of offering to pay for any female athletes entry fees who want to enter.

The judging was good and bad, some kids earned their spots while others kinda seemed to be in the ruling clique. From a sponsors point of view nothing is worse than biased judging.

You're the man! I cant tell you how happy it makes me to read that. I definetly gave it my best and had a great time just a lil bummed it was a male jam not a rail jam. They shoulda put the 3 ladies together for super finals cause they deserve props too. Running shit they way they did is the reason why no girls do it. The set up was money though.

Each and every year you kids get on NS after a comp and whine about how judging was unfair or how the event sucked. Maybe if you hadn't had such a hard time grinding a whole rail straight you would have made it to finals and you wouldn't be so pissed about the judging.

Like Issac mentioned above, the skiing this year was wack excluding Issac Bubb, Issac Helvey and Ben Hills (and a few others), but everyone who made it to finals and the podium deserved it.

A great weekend all around especially with RJD2 and Chiddy Bang so so much fun. It is always a good time when a bunch of fellow Montana riders can come together and celebrate our snow activities. Big props to all of the skiers and snowboarders that did the jam. As far as the winners go....I just wish they would not only announce names but the skis and clothes they were wearing ha ha cause I know that easier than names.

Oh and ja. your helly hansen (i think it was HH) jacket was ridiculously tall, no hate but that was ridiculous ha ha. Why did you not compete?

Yeah those thermals are fucking sick, stoked on mine, and definitely likely to get a Phar North hoodie or something now too because I love that thermal.

Let's not ruin this thread and the weekend though... judging is subjective, there will always be disagreements.

Thanks for everyone who put it on and helped out, and thank you to the people who convinced me to sign up in the thread in Ski Gabber. I'm so glad I signed up, I had so much fun just riding and getting some tricks, plus we got an awesome thermal and earbuds. Such an awesome weekend overall.

I had a great time at the concert.

The judging in the rail jam was alright. I feel like the kids with tight pants who were killing it were going unnoticed. The blind swivel on the round down rail by the guy in tight pants was one of the sickest things ever. Also trying to nugget the entire dfdfd was nuts and so was nuggeting the flat down. I just feel like the more creative tricks should of been judged better but that is just me and I have a giant boner for tight pants so I may be a bit biased. The guys in the super finals deserved in for sure though and everyone was killing it.

Lets not keep complaining about judging. There will always be people who think differently, regardless, this was a well put on event, and an all around good time. My only complaints were the mud, and being constantly asked to back up at the concerts.

I was pretty much just watching the down rail, and really thought Ben was going to win (although I'm definitely biased as his friend). His 2 pretzel 2 was really sick, and I know he did lip 2, 2 off on the down flat.

I forgot Isaac got front swap pretzel 4 though, that was nuts.

I am not really hating on the judging, I thought it was pretty good for the most part. It seemed baised toward the big sky crowd but all in all I have seen far worse in bigger settings this year.

I did think Chad Green brought some heat and skied really hard. But a lot of kids did.

i dont think todd should have won the snowboarding. I thought some kids slayed way harder than he did, but he is THE todd kirby so that gets him an automatic podium spot for sure i guess
