Mad River - Capital Park

The park crew reset the majority of the rails this morning. There is definitely a lot of fun to be had in the park right now. Get out there while you can before the end of the season sneaks up on us all.

end of the season?  nooo!!!  mrm/cp is definently looking sick right now.  i'll be out there all weekend.  terman i havent seen you riding in a while.  we gotta sesh someday!

Yeah I hope they did reset all or most of the rails and boxes. This weekend was not good, the boxes were back to ride on's, there was no lip or jump onto the boxes like they had 3 weeks ago. The amount of snow hasnt helped but they need/ed to dig up everything and replant it. tricks on rails were becoming impossible, it was turning into the old park all over again. Hopefully as Terman said they did reset the rails. The jumps on the other hand looked like they havent been reshaped or moved around in about a month. They need/ed to scrap and rebuild. Hopefully this weekend will be nice. They are capable of doing it (like earlier in the season) its just a matter of them getting out there to do it.

The rails are back to the rails of new - good lips, nice height and a lot of fun. The jumps have seen a lot of snow of the past couple weeks and I've heard they're turning the jump line into a slopestyle course for next weekends Cabin Fever competition - cannon box?!?!

By next weekend the park should be back to 100%. With all of the snow we've had there really hasn't been any reason to be in the park - too much fun skiing powder.

Will to your comment - where have you been?!? How is your chin? I've been out the past two nights and plan on being out there all weekend. Teddy and Fitz were out killing it last night. Teddy was laying down 360 switch ups over the up/down rails in the upper park and Fitz as killing it in the lower park.

Personally I like watching that Justin Terman kid throw down and I can only hope that someday I will be fortunate enough to be given lessons on how to properly grab from him!!

But yea the park is a lot of fun right now, all the rails are dug out with new lips and the big air hit is still really smooth and tons of fun! For all the hoodlums that gaper stomp the crap out of the lips and landings (and if you've been up there on a busy school bus filled day you understand the snakeage), they do a real good job of maintaining everything and keeping it all super fun!

yea park is sick no question.  they have one perfect box that is great for learning tricks.  i was hiking it all day.  mad props to the whole park crew

The 1st jump seems to be the best it's been all season. And the last jump is a lot of fun. Super smooth.

was up there for madness last friday and the rails were set real nice, excited for slopestyle this weekend and am for sure crossing my fingers on a cannon box

This Saturday at 2:00pm is Cabin Fever. Its our final contest for the year. its a slopestyle format with 5 hits. Pushed all the jumps yesterday and today. All re-worked takeoffs and landings. Also have a cannon setup where the 4th jump used to be. The course will be taking shape the rest of the week and will be open each day to hit. Come check it out and then see you all saturday!!!!

there is a rail and a box before the first jump. Its an option of either a flat down box or a flat down bar. There is also his and hers cannon boxes where the 4th jump was. should be a good time. hope to see you all out this saturday.

Just got back from riding. The setup is alot of fun. Might have some speed issues though depending on how much snow keeps piling up and whatnot but regardless tomorrow is gonna be a ton of fun!!

MRM during the day and heading up to the farmers fest..   Gonna be eppiccccc!!!!
