hey guys so i'm 5'2" and about 115 pounds soaking wet in ski gear. i'm getting really tired of getting my ass handed to me on huge pow skis. i've ridden 185 ep's and 183 chetlers and i can handle em but not as well as i would like. i'm just too small to be on a ski that long. i'm super agressive and would only be using the ski for powder. i loved the flex of my ep's but a little stiffer would be nice. but my chetlers are way too stiff and beat the crap out of me. what would you guys reccomend? i was looking at the s7's or some 4frnts. any suggestions?
172 bacons if you arent growing anymore. wide enough to still float you on the pow and they will dominate the rest of the mountain unlike some rockered pow skis
The 4FRNT VCT Turbo is a great ski and comes in a nice array of sizes. I haven't ridden Bacons before, but I have heard a lot of great feedback from friends. You might also consider the Armada ANT or the K2 Obsethed, both are awesome, aggressive chargers. I'm partial to the ANT, the Obsethed felt kind of awkward to me when I wanted to turn it over tighter. That might just be me, lots of people are obsessed with them (no pun). The Hellbent is lame....don't get it.
Mini-EPs will be too short, they really are for kids (145 and 160 i think).. It kind of depends what kind of skiing you want to do? Do you want to jib around, slash turns but only forwards, big drops, switch pow lines?
Without knowing this its hard to say but there are lots more options these days.
172 4frnt CRJ seems like a really good option (they have a 164 too but thats probably too short).
175 JJ might be a good option.
171 ON3P Caylor would do everything pretty well.
172 Bacon (rockered next season).
You have tons of options 171-175 seems prime.
