Fred Phelps and His church

So these people are seriously deranged...

i looked em up after seeing the daughter of fred phelps (sherlie phelps roper) argue on Fox news thread and i found a journalist who followed em around for a week are so and you can see how insane this church/family is. in one of the videos one of there 8 year old sons that gets hit with a soda for holding a picket sign that he doesnt know what means.

I recomend watching all of these...

I nearly lost it when that kid got hit in the head.  These kids have no control of their environment and are brain washed.  They have no idea what they're saying.  These people should be put in jail for cult behavior.  You can go to jail for that right?

i watched all 8 of them.

the level of ignorance and belligerent moral values just fascinated me. They had created their own delusion of faith in which they dwelled upon purely for the sake of attention. The old man would'nt even answer the questions because he knew his argument was completely flawed, let alone worthy of being called clinically insane. Their standard of stubbornness was almost supernatural, i almost didnt believe what was coming out of their fucking stupid mouths, and how much it pained me to see those young women and little kids blindly following the delusions of some fucked up old attention whore bitch.


MAYBE, just maybe if we ignore them completely then they will stop to re-evaluate themselves as sensical human beings, but judging on the old "gramps" i dont think that will ever happen. ever.

yeah, i came back and watched the rest too.  the documentary was really well done and everything was presented in a manor that allowed me to keep watching without being overloaded with my disdain for those people. 

to your point about ignoring them, i really wish it were possible for these people to re-evaluate themselves but i dont really see it happening.  Certainly ignoring them seems to be the best thing to do since embracing them or attacking them (like the kid getting nailed by the cup) just gives them a sense of strength.

how one bitter old man can turn that many people into such puppets is just mind blowing.  respect to the guy from bbc for being so calm and getting great footage.

They are from Wichita which isn't to far from me... So they come up to Kansas City all the time. Thankfully i have never seen them or i would be in jail. I am kind of disappointed with the community that i live in for not donkey punching that lady in the back of the head. Then throwing a molotov cocktail in their window of their house.

I love louis theroux hes such a god. (the reporter) the way he trys to be confrontational but gets scared easily makes me giggle. Ive seen this before and i was just disgusted.

Im not particularly nationalist but i dont see how people can be against there country so much and have the utter disregard to peoples feelings to protest at the funeral for a soldier that has died for your country and your freedom to be able to go about and spew this utter bollocks. that just seems wrong on every level.

There is no reasoning or a place for dicussion with these people, they will never give up and will react to your argumens: with we believe in god, or you are stupid

I've seen this documentary a while back and i felt that these people are so entangled in their make-beliefs that they will not let go of them simply because they don't know better, because the were taugth to oppose any critisim.

Despite that it's quit interesting from a philosophical point of view, wasting your precious time on them is all they want.
