Not positive I'm ready to sell these, but I thought I'd see what kind of interest I get. 07/08 185 EP Pros. 4 DAYS OF RIDING! Not a typo... in the 3 seasons I've owned them, I've only deemed 4 days "EP Pro worthy". As a result, they've only seen soft powder. They could easily pass as brand new. Mounted once at center with Salomon Z12s. I'm at school right now so I can't take an pictures, but I'll put some up later if there's interest. Any offers?
I'd consider trades for a good all-mountain ski around 172-175 (stiff, light, responsive, 90-100 waist)... Line Blends, Liberty Hazmat, Rossi S5, Volkl Bridge... in similar shape.
As you can see, they're pretty much brand new... they've just been mounted on my wall.
Right now (mid-Feb), the running price for them new is about $600. So, I figured -20% for being 2 seasons old = $480. Then, -10% for being drilled once =$432. Finally -$32 to even things out =$400+shipping.
Minus being drilled, they're basically new. Make me an offer.
You should check out Salomon Shoguns. Much slimmer but they are great for what you are looking for. I am guessing if you want something a little wider, maybe get the cash and wait for the Salomon Czar next season. Same dimensions as this year but with bamboo like the Shogun.
I second that. I was riding a buddies pair one day, and was coming from Hellbents(similar to EP's) and they seemed to be exactly what you are looking for. Stiff yet responsive.
Yeah, I've been looking into the Shoguns, but I'm worried that I'll be sacrificing too much park performance (specifically rail/switch). Can you guys comment on that? I'm looking to do 70% park, 20% all-mountain, 10% powder, and want a ski that can handle it all.
it wasn't an opinion. i was just under the impression that they were more of a all/big mountain ski and therefore were on the stiffer side of the spectrum. and i know what a soft ski is, i ride lizzies
my shop is sellin this years for 450 new im thinkin theres probably other places selling around 450-500 too so for these bein a few years old and mounted already i'd drop the price a little or just keep them and just ski them all the time
Haha... they are pretty goddamn awesome... but living in Southern California and only taking a couple trips to Tahoe/Mammoth a year, I'm pretty limited on how often I can use them. My park skis, on the other hand, have seen better days.
RJD2, I looked into the Chronics, but I'm interested in a ski with a 95ish waist... thanks for the input, though!
How about Rossignol S3? One of the park guys at Stevens rides them, and they seem to kill it in the park, and they should be able to handle pow just fine.
Thanks for the comments on the S3... living in Southern California, I never really get a chance to hold a ski before I buy it; I have to just go by what I hear.
Hey man... can't trade for S7s... I'm looking for a smaller and narrower all-mountain ski. Thanks for the offer, though...
ahhhh, i want to buy those so bad......but iv only got $200 at the moment, ive always wanted a pair of EP pros and gettin the classic 08 model would be even better, i dont give a shit if i live in michigan.
I have a pair of last years K2 Extreme center mounted with the Marker Griffons, that I have skied on maybe 5 times. I would be down to trade if you are interested.
