Question about softshell hoodies

Hey I am going to try and make my own tall hoodies, but I want that soft woven fabric that is still water resistant..anybody know what material this is? I have searched all over but cannot find it.

just goto a super nice fabrics store and ask. My local fabric store has EVERYTHING

polyester?

i would go for 75 or 80%  cotton  and 20-25% poly

Dude, if you make some non talls, lemme know.

i own like 3 oakley water resistant hoodies (all different weights), I love them. the one im wearing right now is 70% cotton and 30% polyester and just has a DWR coating.
the oakley ones are different then an actual softshell hoody. They just have the DWR coating, they arent made of actual water resistant material. i ski in a softshell "hoody" that is incredibly high tech, it retails for like $280 (i paid much less). its like polartech softshell.

Get some of that Lotus Nano fabric, it can be be as soft like a cotton jacket but it's the most waterproof stuff ever:

*test at around 1.13*
