Get new boots that are fitted properly. BUT...in the mean time put your power strap around the liner, behind the plastic cuff. This will give more support and it will help reduce the shin bang.
Thats shin splints. Minute stress fractures from flexing the shin bone backwards.
Shing bang is from violent contact (fore and aft) with the tounge of the boot. Causse by a lose or overly large boot.
Not trying to be a prick and correct you. But they are cause from differnt issues.
He maybe however be landing in the back seat (like tyou say) but confused this with shin bang.
