Olympic Halfpipe skiing

Am I not the only one who is pissed that there isn't the halfpipe for skiing in the olympics?

Yeah, the X-games would still be better, but it doesn't seem fair that snowboarders can get it and skiers can't.

Olympic Halfpipe skiing would be a terrible thing. It would turn the sport of more into a publicity stunt than anything else. Look at the amount of gaper snowboarders there are in the park compared to skiers in the park.

Honestly in my opinion starting olympic halfpipe skiing would ruin the sport.

the publicity might get more money into the industry.. even if it does mean more gapers, jongs, and strokers maybe thatd be worth potentially bringing better skiers into the sport that wouldnt otherwise consider it.. i wouldnt mind watching it in the olympics either

I was just thinking this, US would get owned this year in the half pipe, that is of course unless dumont or somebody else could step up and compete with the Canadians and of course the FRENCHMAN(S)

adding skiing pipe or slopestyle to the olympics would just be a last reach by the olympic comittee to try and save something that everyone know is going to be dead in about 8 years. nobody wants to sit and watch XC skiing anymore and nobody is going to stay awake while trying to watch curling, but its bullshit that the only move they can make is to start to pluck away at all of the X-games events.

I meant shawn white as in a media whore, that will be the only individual anyone outside the sport will recognize or think is any good. Like Johnny Mosely but for halfpipe.

^to XC comment above- the biathalon is the shit. I'd watch that shit anyday

i mean i know he has had a rough past and all .. but the media could eat up all his injuries and what he has fought through to continue pushing the limits of the sport. yeah i know every athlete does this but it would work with him.
