One Life's - center mounted - Really?

Really? You center mount these skis for all mountain / pow riding? Was I told right? How are they for a 1 ski quiver for out west?

i just don't like you in general, idk why i chose this thread to say it, cus this is one of your better ones... sorry

have you ever taken a pair of skis that was mounted far back into tight trees? its hard to make the necessary tight turns, but if its center mounted it will be much easier to turn, and the skis will be much more playful. center mounted skis don't even ski very much differently on groomers either, so it would probably be better to have them centered, but if you don't like centered skis then you could always mount them differently.

Ok, stop the bullshit, here's what i've heard about mounting one lifes.. (I'm getting them too)

The best is to mount in the center of the running surface, if the topsheets are placed right it should be the here here here line, but always measure!! With this mounting choise you will have more ski in front of you, the rockered part in the front is bigger than in the back so you wont tip dive or so, and with the centered feel you can turn really quick in trees and shit..

If you use searchbar and also search on TGR you can find a lot of info on mounting one lifes.. (even some older more traditional guys liked this mount better after they remount them when they first had them like 5cm back or so..)

I would like to know how they would be for a one ski quiver. Especially for someone who skis lots of park. I know there not park skis but i have seen people shred the park with them. They just look so fun

I wonder if the New Life ski is a center mount ski, or just yeah where ever you think it would work best.

I am just curious as to its performance in powder given the center mounted suggestion. On the phone Cuaswell seemed to play it as oh the rocker is so insane it will make up for it.

I just don't want any surprises...that is all.

the New Life is a centre mount ski, theyre symmetrical.

My buddy bought a pair, and I gave them a try on a whistler powder day, my first time on rockers. They were really easy to get used too in the deep stuff, they turn awesome and its so weird not to worry about tip diving. I did a 180 into pow and landed like I normally do, and ended up knuckle dragging because I was leaning too far forward. If you learn to trust them you can land jumps like you would in the park, SO AWESOME.

I didn't get to ride them in the trees but my buddy was shredding. I think they make for a pretty quick turner, but they were still good in the open.

A few posts up said "here here here" mark.  That was LL2s. One Lifes have a "boot center" mark, which is -2.5 from true center.  I mounted mine -2 and wouldn't want to be any more forward, and I think the "boot center" mark is where anybody should mount no matter what they are doing.  I ski them switch all the time and they do great.  Don't mount center, it'd be stupid with these.
  Also LL2s are different from One Lifes.
