180 in the Trees

Ok so I was just learning 180's in the backcountry/woods off of like a 5-6 ft drop and have been getting freaked out about riding switch in the woods. I land the trick fine but even though I know I'm not gonna hit a tree I freak out anyway and just fall over on my side. I'm having some trouble getting my head around when I land so I really can't see behind me.

Does anybody else have the same problem? Or just any advice about spinning off cliffs and such

Never look over your shoulder, always look around it, especially while spinning.

Woops. I mean especially when approaching a jump switch and are about to spin.

spot your landing, its only a 180. and don't do it in an area that you could hit trees.

Agreed, The impact of hitting a tree off something that small isn't going to kill you or hurt you that bad, what kills you is when you get gouged by a branch........ask my buddy
