High School Says the 'Freaking' Must Stop

BRIGHTON, Mich. -- Administrators at Brighton High School said they’re trying to stop a style of dancing they consider obscene on school grounds and recently canceled a popular winter event to make their point.
The school’s Winterfest dance had been scheduled for Feb. 6, but with concerns that students would engage in “freaking," the school required anyone interested in attending the dance to sign a contract beforehand.

Principal Ken Hamman said the pledge contract was meant to curb students from engaging in sexually suggestive movements on the dance floor.Hamman said they came up with the idea after seeing unacceptable dancing at October’s Homecoming dance.

Students protested the contract and ticket sales for the dance plummeted.Hamman said more than 1,500 students were expected to attend the dance, but that only 67 students signed the contract.“I don’t think it is (sexually suggestive). I think it’s just dancing,” said senior Phil Laquinto.

this is bullshit. Kids are gonna do what they wanna do. Very few people wanna go to dances and not get there *ahem*...."freak" on.

Our school was sort of chill with this stuff then all of a sudden this year cracked the fuck down. Call me a pussy but I think that these dances are kind of fucked anyways.

When I was in 6th grade two 8th graders banged it out for around 4 seconds during the last dance of the year. All I really remember was one kid coming out of the mosh pit screaming "(so and so) JUST FUCKED" over and over. Then I saw this girl crying with her zipper down. Basically my greatest middle school memory.

this super creepy kid(and slightly mentally handicapped) everyone called birdman boned two different drunk fatties at winter formal under the table at winter formal a few years ago. then he was claiming it at school to the teachers. it was a total wtf? moment

We had shit like this happen at my high school (bozeman high) and we basically just gave people the finger and did what we wanted. Eventually kids just started throwing their own dances (me and my homie started that trend, claim) and we'd get shitfaced and just rage basically, pretty fun. But then every shit head started throwing their own dances, so it got old.

Just hold your own dance.  The school makes a decent amount of money off of dances, so it will be a big FU to the school.

well if they ban parties, dances, hugs and "freaking" ahem, just start a couple fight clubs and see if that works out better for the shithead admins that won't fuck their fatass ugly wives. couldnt hurt right? except for getting punched in the face a few times a week.
