Bassnectar: Amazing. Getting knocked out? Not so much...

So, tonight, I went to the Bassnectar show in Santa Cruz with a few friends of mine. The show was absolutely infuckingsanely sick, and I was having a great time dancing and getting down HARD. All my friends were too.

About halfway - 2/3rds through the show... I'm walking out of the crowd to use the restroom. I'm coming back out and all of a sudden, I'm on the ground, and this pretty big dude is on top of me yelling or something. My head and my mouth and jaw REALLY hurt. I'm FUCKED up. Apparently the guy just straight decked me out of nowhere. Anyways, security guys grab me and take me out front. They apprehend this dude, who was just going ballistic. I dont remember exactly what happened to him and I have no idea what the hell I could have done to piss him off, but now i'm outside the show, my mouth bleeding pretty bad, and one of the security people had called 911. I text my friends and i cant get a hold of them.

Anyways, ambulance comes and paramedics show up and they take me in this thing and i'm going "OH FUCK, I dont think my insurance covers this kinda shit FUCK FUCK FUCK!" Now I'm freaking out about it and I'm feelin loose from the alcohol. i keep texting my friends and telling the medics off... all while i'm spitting blood out. The cops then show up and start trying to talk to me, as blood's just dripping out of my mouth.. Great. So they take an incident report and all this crap.. and start telling me I should go with the paramedics to the hospital. I tell them that when I get a hold of my friends, then they will take me to the hospital and shit. Finally my friends Lauren and Tony come outside. They see me bleeding and take me to the hospital. Apparently when the guy punched me I A: bit my tongue really hard and B: he knocked one of my teeth out a little bit so it was just bleeding like crazy. I also probably received a minor concussion when I keeled over and hit my head on the ground. They give me some gauze and tell me to get a dentists appointment to see if my tooth needs fixing.

So, now I cant talk very well... I got kicked out of what was an awesome show because some retard decided to haul off on me for no reason it seems, I probably have to deal with a bunch of legal shit, and I might have a broken tooth... Happy Vietnamese New Year to me... Fuck.

Man I hate when there are assholes at shows.  Its surprising at a bassnectar show too but I guess this is what happens when music goes mainstream.

well you better come to bozeman on march 5th and 6th for chamberlin rail jam bassnectar will be there and the crowd is way chiller i can almost guarantee that you wont get punched in the face.

and/or in missoula the week after.  They are both gonna be sweet shows, the one in missoula is inside at The Top Hat though and the one in bozeman is outside in the cold at the fairgrounds.

Yeah, but the GZA will be in Bozeman.  I can't believe people are more hyped on Bassnectar than the GZA.  Don't get me wrong, I am stoked to see Bassnectar, but the GZA is a legend.

I couple years ago I was at a Flaming Tsunamis concert skanking it up and generally having a good time. Then out of nowhere I get decked, I mean fucking slammed to the floor. Some dumbshit in a wifebeater decided to stage dive and his head clocked me in the head and knocked me out cold. I should also mention he was a big fucker, easily 200lbs. I come to and a bunch of people are standing around me asking if I was alright. One of them says the cum-for-brains that hit me dipped. I got a nasty concussion, missed a week of school and had a headache for 2 weeks after. I know, interesting anecdote hansen...

Why would you not go with the paramedics? If the cops had the guy apprehended you could sue him for all the cost of the trip plus more, since it looks really bad when you have to be taken away in an ambulance.

Yeah right. With my luck, the guy's a rich motherfucker and his dad's best friends with Johnny Cochoran..

I'm not going to put my faith in the legal system... fuck that. Especially when I'm drunk and always have the thought of not having insurance running through the back of my head...

Besides, I can still sue him... had I sued him for the cost of the trip had I gone on it, i wouldnt be getting any more out of it than I would anyway. I was bloodied and woozy and shit... not stabbed or shot...

Since I'm in a good habit of doing that, I'm pretty positive I did... and I didnt need to put the seat down, it was a urinal haha.

I dont remember much about actually using the restroom though... I was kinda knocked out as soon as I stepped out of the place...

I'm getting revenge on March 13th. Bassnectar is playing at Montbleu in South Lake Tahoe. Just bought tickets.

I get to ski all day for free at Heavenly, and then hit up Bassnectar at night and NOT get punched in the face. FUCKYEAH.

Nice man. That sucks though. Did anybody see it? Was the dude freaking out from too many party favors or something? Crazy shit. Wouldn't really expect that at a bassnectar show. Hope your dome feels better
