i suck dick at them

i tried doing one today after throwing some 3s

approach was nice

takeoff, not so much

i didn't pop i guess and i leaned back too far and cracked my head off the back end of the ski (rentals)

i actually completed the flip and landed on my feet (only 1 ski)

but i was bleeding and i just got stitches

i'm wearing a helmet from now on

Do everyone a favor, yourself included, and learn how to actually ski outside of the park. Then you'll be able to enjoy all aspects of skiing and not follow the trend of most parkrats being awful skiiers.

i clearly rollerblade, hence my name, so this is just an extension of it

and the slopes were baby slopes, nothing to get into, the slopes were only 160 feet high or something

when i'm at other mountains i try to do some tree runs/little powder things and actually work on skiing

the park was only 3 jumps so i reallly didn't have a choice

Yeah, definitely work on general skiing skill, it definitely makes you look better in the park and allows you to experience a lot more stuff skiing.

Props on trying it though, ALWAYS wear a helmet when skiing. Not worth the risk. At least that's my philosophy. You're free to do what you like.

I find with backflips its generally the first one that screws you over. Next time, try to take off, then look at the horizon for a split second, then flip. You will land perfectly if you do it right.

i'm definitely wearing a helmet from now on

i'll try it when i get my stitches out and go skiing again

and do you tuck when you flip or do you lay out

which should i try to do?

When I do backies I almost always lay them out. I've done them off jumps, out of the end of a pipe, on side booters, and they usually end up somewhat layed out. Its a good way to get your spot in and control the flip. You can look at the ground, then bring your legs around quick if you need to or just bring them around slowly if you need to. You'll naturally tuck if you need to spin it up.

If you can do them on tramps don't worry about what you do in the air, just make sure you set good and are patient on takeoff. The rest takes care of itself.

wait where did you do this backflip ? some kid at sun valley did one caught his skis on the knuckle slammed forward into the knuckle hit his face had a seizure and ended up with a bloody face i know your not from there but maybe you were visiting idk....
