Wax question

Ok I normally use hot wax, but is rub on wax noticeably different than hot wax. I know it doesn't penetrate the bases as well but how long does it last and is it worth it?

Stick to hot waxing; rub in wax and all variations like it are pretty crap. The glide properties are never as good and your base will be running dry by the end of the day in most cases.

Hot waxing is labourious, but all good things in life come to those who wait!

rub on a glide wax are all very temporary.
iron wax actually get absorbed by the bases (caused by the heat of the iron) and last much longer and is more efficient

rub on wax lasts a day. its worth it if you are into racing a stuff like tht. wen i raced slalom i rubbed on wax during lunch so i would be set for the afternoon. but it only lasted tht one afternoon. hot was it the way to go
