Afterbangs

hey ive had my afterbangs for about a month and a half and i already destroyed the sides of the topsheet and the bottom is all scratched up.

does this happen to alot of people?

ya they get cosmetic damage easily but thats sorta what you sacrifice for the weight, flex, etc, and most importantly the price.

yep, if you search around gear talk, 'topsheet' damage, or whatever the A-Bang has seems to be a widespread problem. But it's aesthetic only.

its a chipped top sheet!!! chill out its natural with all skis...you just notice it more with afterbangs because its all wood...and as far as your base...thats your own fault...it happens with skis when you hit rails or slide across cement or anything...it happens with all skis if you do that stuff

Fully agree have u kids ever seen a skate board deck, cause the graphic on those just like ur skis will get fucked up, it doesn't effect the ride of the ski nor will water get Into your core so don't cry about a ski that is decently price for what it is

It's the topsheet. The topsheet chipping will not affect the performance of the ski. I <3 my A-Bangs and after about 3 months on them I have had minimal topsheet chipping and they've worked excellent in the park and trees.

Yea they just chip up, it's really not a big deal. The scratched bases mean you need to stop running over stumps and rocks

Actually there is no top sheet. the graphic is printed straight onto the wood

i won some a couple weeks ago and theyre already pretty well scratched up.
just don't worry about it, it shouldnt affect performance, and it kinda gives the ski a rugged look anyway.
