i want to get a new ski and dont know which to get . my local shop has some elan zen masters that look good and they are cheap (like $200). im 6 foot 3 inches 225lbs. i ski all conditions whenever i can wat is a good choice
I ride the czar but I have ridden the Shogun and its one of the sickest skis I've had the opportunity to shred on! It does everything! Ill more than likely be getting a pair next season.
yeah you are a bigger guy, if those skis are stiff, then that is a decent price for them. Line prophet series would be good cause it has some metal in it which will make it stiffer. Another good option is the Rossi s3.
I personally don't think the shoguns would make a good one ski quiver. They seemed slow edge to edge and weren't very fun, but that could just be me. They also don't have a whole lot of sidecut, which I didn't really like. To each his own though.
Like others have said, the Prophet 90 or 100 would be a good choice.
I don't know what exactly what you are looking for but I would suggest a 189 obsethed from last year for a person your size. It would be a great all-mountain ski and be decent in park. A pretty good one ski quiver for sure.
actually this is a pretty good idea. I read wrong and you're a bit heavier than i am so might just flex the ARV or watch life a little bit (no offence) and the extra length with your height is also an added plus.
so i think i am going to go with the arv but before i buy them how durable are they? i know they are decently durable but will they last like 3 seasons of skiing? i dont ski them too hard in the park
I feel for ya on the size side. I'm only 5'10 200 lbs and I feel like I'm on the upper end of ski sizes... I would suggest you pick a ski that comes in a 191, and somehing that is stiffer. You almost want to look for skis they tout as "big mountian chargers". Some people say the prophet is a stiffer ski, but at my weight it feels pretty soft... The prophet 100 is an awesome ski, the durability just isn't the best. I have never skied the arv, but I hear they are pretty bomber...
