They are last years Reno jibs. Can I mount them backwards, meaning tails pointing forward. This is because the ski is symmetrical and the ski has some weird ass plugs in them. It looks like the mount would be easier if I were to mount them backwards. Any thoughts ?
check where the edge gets connected. on lines i know its usually in the middle of the tail but ive seen rossis where it is like on the side. anyways if the edge gets connected at the back of the ski then your skis may be slightly less durable because you will have a vulnerable point in your tip where the edge gets connected.
My anthems have been mounted both ways, currently "backwards". As long as the ski is 100% symmetrical then you're good. I personally don't believe the durability "issue" with the edge gap being in the front, but that's just me. So go with your gut.
i have last years jibs, the edges dont connect in the tip and tail there is no edge around the extreme tip ( the square part ) of the ski, mounting backwards should be cool since there 100 percent semetrical, there are to marks at center one center and one -1 i think, just make sure to use the right line (measuring would be safe to do as well) when you mount
Alright so ive seen the skis and what aznsteeze is asking is whether he can mount his skis rotated 180 degrees with the previous mounting holes and whether it will be better and beneficial for the mounting
because currently there are some weird plugs almost like heli coils but i do not believe they are, and the toe and heel mounting on bindings are different widths so would the mounting switch provide better holes for the screws to be put into?
post pictures of it kelvin it will be easier for people to see what you mean
Thanks for the help everyone. I will post pictures tomorrow when I get them to show everyone what these plugs are. I am just worried that they may interfere with the regular mount, forcing me to mount them backwards or something. I'll post pics tomorrow.
So can anyone tell me what these weird plugs are?
and do you think that i would have room for one more mount for my FKS 140 or should i mount them backwards?

those holes may be helicoils in shich case if the holes for those dont match your holes i wouldnt advise using them. spin em arouns for whatever way allows for the most space away from existing holes.
Alright. Well I don't think I would try using the old holes. I was wondering if there was enough room to mount my fks without interfereing with the old holes. Sorry for the confusion.
