Replying to HYPOTHETICAL: Does tempriture (cold) affect DIN?

This is a pretty pointless question, but my housemate raised the issue a couple of days ago and we haven't been able to resolve it.

As the DIN is dictated by the strenth of a metal spring, which normally would be stiffer at colder temps, would the DIN be very slightly higher at -25C than it would at 35C?

Again, there is nothing to gain from this question other than satisfying our curiousity!
