okay, great so what would be better: doubling the gun ownership (so the defence statistic would be twice as high), or putting stricter rules in place making it harder to get weapons, say this lowers gun crime to a Canadian level.. doubling the gun ownership would stop about 65000 crimes, while stricter rules etc to make it Canadian levels would stop about 1.9 million crimes.
