How to wax a rail???

I was surprised to look on the searchbar and find there aren't any threads over this. How do you wax an urban rail? What kind of wax? I've heard that candle wax works is that true? And do you have to heat the rail?

shanhai six (level 1 movie), i remember a double kink cement ledge was getting waxed with a lit candle

Interesting. I'd be a little worried about what it would do to bases. Normal ski wax works great or if you want to go cheaper use paraffin.
