Team down under rookie?

as has been stated before the most likely would be lyndon sheehan and byron but both have been to winter x. so i reckon that leaves guys like beau wells and matt soundy but beaus probably too young. Anyone else think that matt soundy could make it?

There was this one super sick guy in the ozzy jump comp with Russ that was doing the sickest 5s and that, would be sick if someone like that went. Soundy would be awesome to go but can't see it happening unfortunately... And cal would be insane but i think he has an even less chance then soundy.. Maybe if his superunknow goes well? Chances are it'll be byron which is kinda lame as team downunder doesn't actually have to bend the rules as there are sick skiers out there but ah well.

theres no fucking way that it should be allowed to happen. theres half a dozen guys down here that are world class and would not only hold their own in joss but be standouts as well.

it defeats the purpose of having amatures! just coz no-one in north america has heard of them doesn't mean they dont slay! fuck. if they let them take jossi's brother i'm going to punch jon in the face. then kick him in the nuts.

there's 50 kids in oz/nz that deserve this chance. ns is all about finding new talent, why shouldn;t this be any different.

Straight up!!! Well said sir!!! All these boys are killing it super hard, would love to see one of them get a chance!! The idea of bending the rules is rubbish, not to mention completely unneccessary, that ruins the whole idea of the comp!!! I'd love to see any one of these dudes repping for us ozies!!

There is a couple of threads about this. As i said in another one "I am not going as the rookie"
Jossi and i talked about it once after the interview he did and we agreed that i wouldn't go.
I don't know who is going but i bet they kill it way harder than i can on jumps.

This - and more. There are some of the TBR kids coming through in the next few years that are currently running bumps, but I've seen them throwing down and they are pretty sick. I just love that Australia is getting a chance!
