Don't ask like you did, it makes you sound like a 12 year old trend whore who want's shorter poles so people will think you look cool.

i put the pole in a vice ( right under grip) so the grip can not go down. i didnt tight the vice but just enough so the grip doesnt slide down and i pulled down as hard as i could. then i measured and cut with a hack saw
