Thermal is lame and for bads, not to mention next-to-useless on Derail. I use a .50cal with a heartbeat and FMJ because the only other attachment I have unlocked is the Silencer due to the fact that I don't snipe much. Regardless, when I do snipe, people stay indoors.

intervention+fmj with sleight of hand, stopping power, and steady aim/ninja for snd. use anything else and you suck at sniping. .50 is for people that think they can qscope but they just spray and if you use the wa or m21 i feel sorry for you.

.50 cal issss soooo much better. if you miss first shot by the time your aim is steady again it's still quicker than the intervenshit, and you can just blast off the noscopes if anyone gets in tight.

l have to disagree, the intervention is way better.

bolt action sniper rifle > semi-auto sniper rifle

l wish they had another bolt action sniper. The wa200 and the m21 suck so much, they feel like staple guns. Although l bet they would be good in hardcore mode...

In a game cause I suck bolt action rifles make me fail more. I need to be able to pump off shots really fast. IRL though snipers still train with and use bolt action rifles. In game though I blow.

Yea man it's a personal preference. l like the intervention because it's a one shot kill and it has a good accuracy.

The whole one shot one kill thing maybe? Bolt action forces you in training to hit with your first shot cause you won't get a second one off as fast as you would with a semi auto gun.

A big reason is reliability, far less moving pieces to jam with a bolt vs a semiauto. Plus you can control when you eject the shell, so you can be more stealthy.
