Truth! Sure they are light weight and easy to spin, but it's really tough to land on cross counties. I give huge cred to those guys. That was fun to watch.

hahah i raced nordic througout highschool and for freshman and sophmore year this was all me and my boys did...instead of training we'd build jibs and setup pvc rails...it is pretty damn hard to land switch or flips...i landed a few mistys and backflips but most times were epic failzzz...we setup some pretty sick pvc jibs too and xc ski slide mad good on it...its pretty friggin hard to spin xc skis just because they arent fully attached to your feet so they swing up and down as you go

Same. We put pilot bindings on classic skis because of the tip, and jibbed around a lot. Did my first rail and first 360 on xc skis before even knowing people were doing this stuff on twintips haPr

this is funny because i went xc skiing for the first time today with my school. it is actually REALLY difficult if you are used to normal skies mainly because you have no support so you cant lean back AT ALL and then if you lean forward your heels arent clipped in... i am way more impressed with this video right now than if i saw it yesterday

alright. i suppose it isnt retarded but honestly i hope these guys are not taking this too seriously because newschool cross country skiing is just painful to think about. they are having fun tho, even if it is in a really ridiculous way. I didnt think the NS community would be amped about this shit at all. after 7 years on this site i thought i had a good idea of what the responses would be. looks like im eating my words. i love NS.
