How to dull edges

what is your preferred technique to roll you edges in

Rough surfaced cement. 

Most people will say a gummy stone, but I usually rub them a little bit on a rail or just hit boxes for the first couple runs to dull them a little bit, but not so much that I lose all control on ice.

i just did this, i took a file and just rubbed it from binding to binding, and moved it on a little bit more angle each time, not perfect, but i don't notice it riding, and its fine on rails,

De-tuning stone is the most consistent, but not the quickest.

i'm a tech and i've used a file and a gummi stone. if you use a file, follow up with the gummi stone to de burr it. fastest and cleanest way i think.

have a friend tow you behind his car across a snow free parking lot, then re-wax, it worked for me

Sorry for bumping this thread, but it searchbars well.  After reading this thread and suppressing the urge to post a photo of a chain saw, I decided to create this "How to" Video. It's also posted in the maintenance thread on Gear Talk and there is a separate thread in Gear Talk on it.  Hopefully this might cut down on a few future similar threads.
