Hey NS. Just purchased myself an HD, even though it's out of stock. I couldn't be more stoked on it.
My question is... I rock a Smith Maze helmet, ear pads our, gogs under. The helmet is VERy light. And I'm wondering if the camera will out way it and throw it weird?
Thanks, and feel free to post....anything on the GoPro
I have it and a Holt, and it can feel pretty weird. I have a friend who has the Maze and i know how light it is, and i'm guessing it might feel kind of weird. You could get used to it, though. Or if you have a different helmet, you could put one of the permanent mounts on it instead.
hasn't yet for me, granted that was in powder but the adhesive mounts seem sooo durable. just make sure to clean it with alcohol and once you stick it on, dont take it off.
did you really need to point out that this thread wasnt made by you? I was the first with the rime knit icon now everyone has one and I dont really care, Just wanted to point that out
1 found it after 20 minutes of digging, one didn't.
I would somehow make a little safety cord if I was you. Both times the adhesive failed, so you could probably tie it around the arm that slides into the mount and through a vent on your helmet, or something.
this kid makes many, many stupid and pointless threads and I agree its annoying they have the same icon so yes I would want to clarify that if I were him
Hunter, how's the back doing? I have the HD and the Maze and it just feels like your head is heavy. As long as the helmet fits well to your head and doesn't bobble up and down, the extra weight won't really do anything and you'll be fine. It takes a while to get used to it but you won't notice it after a while.
