U2 at Pats vs. Rams in 2002 was the best in recent memory. It was right after 9/11 and it was pretty epic.

Best show ive seen for a while. They killed it. You have to realize when your watching it on tv it sounds alot different then when your there. The vocals were way higher then the instruments because of the crowd if they weren't you wouldnt be able to hear anything. Just saying. Would you rather have prince prancing around on stage with his penis guitar?

The first 25 seconds was bad(before the song really starts anyways), then I thought they were good.  They are pretty old and have done a fair amount of yelling..  I enjoyed it, plus any live recording or watching something like that on TV doesn't sound as good as one made in the studio...

It was wayy better than Prince, or Justin Timberlake, or(and here's the saddest one of all by far)....The Jonas Brothers.  I mean how many annoying 6 year old girls watch the super bowl!

You know what? Roger daltry is 60 something fucking years old and he still nailed the scream to Won't Get Fooled Again. Pete is still a fantastic guitarist (who's voice is actually now closer to Daltry's in his prime), and they had to condense some of their greatest hits into a Halftime show of 12 minutes. And they killed it.

I enjoy the acoustic Led Zeppelin and the first album. The rest is just heavy metal shit and theivery from their peers.

They are good musicians, but THE most overrated band in history, and very unoriginal.

Your ears are lying to you son. I think you need to go indulge your self in a heavy Led Zeppelin binge because sooooo many of there songs are lyrically amazing and heavily studded with an one of the best guitarist in the world, Jimmy Paige. Question, whats bands have they "stolen" from?

I'm not doubting that their good musicians - Page is a GOOD guitarist (no where near Clapton or Hendrix though) but his solos suck on 90% of what he does. Black Dog, Whole Lotta Love, In My Time etc. He's a riff man, I get that, but he's not original (apart from his riffs, his rhythm and leads are stale), and they (as a whole) tend to rip off WAY too often for me to call them legit artists. And they started D&D fantasy metal. Fuck them.
I prefer The Who.

Here's the list of things they've stolen:

  • "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" - A folk song by Anne Bredon, this was originally credited as "traditional, arranged by Jimmy Page," then "words and music by Jimmy Page," and then, following legal action, "Bredon/Page/Plant."
  • "Black Mountain Side" - uncredited version of a traditional folk tune previously recorded by Bert Jansch.
  • "Bring It On Home" - the first section is an uncredited cover of the Willie Dixon tune (as performed by the imposter Sonny Boy Williamson).
  • "Communication Breakdown" - apparently derived from Eddie Cochran's "Nervous Breakdown."
  • "Custard Pie" - uncredited cover of Bukka White's "Shake 'Em On Down," with lyrics from Sleepy John Estes's "Drop Down Daddy."
  • "Dazed And Confused" - uncredited cover of the Jake Holmes song (see The Above Ground Sound Of Jake Holmes).
  • "Hats Off To (Roy) Harper" - uncredited version of Bukka White's "Shake 'Em On Down."
  • "How Many More Times" - Part one is an uncredited cover of the Howlin' Wolf song (available on numerous compilations). Part two is an uncredited cover of Albert King's "The Hunter."
  • "In My Time Of Dying" - uncredited cover of the traditional song (as heard on Bob Dylan's debut).
  • "The Lemon Song" - uncredited cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Killing Floor" - Wolf's publisher sued Zeppelin in the early 70s and settled out of court.
  • "Moby Dick" - written and first recorded by Sleepy John Estes under the title "The Girl I Love," and later covered by Bobby Parker.
  • "Nobody's Fault But Mine" - uncredited cover of the Blind Willie Johnson blues.
  • "Since I've Been Lovin' You" - lyrics are the same as Moby Grape's "Never," though the music isn't similar.
  • "Stairway To Heaven" - the main guitar line is apparently from "Taurus" by Spirit.
  • "White Summer" - uncredited cover of Davey Graham's "She Moved Through The Fair."
  • "Whole Lotta Love" - lyrics are from the Willie Dixon blues "You Need Love." (GOT SUED AND LOST)
