I'm gettin sick of the alcohol laws in the US

i got hit by a drunk bitch yesterday. totalled my car...

i think we as a country are in too deep to really change anything drastically with alcohol. its been legal for so long and people love to poison the shit out of themselves so its not going anywhere. i dont want to go as far as saying "i have no respect for anyone who drinks" but i definitely look down on people that [i]drink[/i]

drink and smoke. two actions that change your being. drinking changes your behavior/judgment while smoking changes your mindset / state of mind- i feel like. whats more of a dangerous change?
i smoke daily. sometimes more than daily haha. drink maybe once a week if that. i look down on people that drink like i smoke; and i know there are a ton of people that do this becuase not many people smoke - its illegal why would you right?

so Im cruising around 45 mph on the east coast slop storm we just got (4 inches in PA) at around 5 pm. the road is straight as fuck, couldnt be any straighter. this bitch in the opposing lane comes drifting out of nowhere straight at me. hits me head on going around 60mph. both cars are fucked. totalled for sure. i nearly missed a telephone pole after i ricochet of the hoes car. this dumb fuckin cunt gets out and the first thing she says to me is "OOOOOOH fuck" (crying and shit) "i cant deal with another dui"
giving absolutely no solace or showing any concern for my well being after what just happened. it was her and 2 other peeps in her car. the story goes "we just woke up, got fuckin hammered last night - i dont know whats going on right now really"
"ANOTHER" dui. we need less freedom in some aspcets

i had a bowl and luckily no weed in my car. the cop searched me and all that previously cause my car always smells like weed regardless of whats in it. so he found my bowl and shit, puts me in the back while he gives the bitch a breathe. he comes back and says "youre not in any trouble, we're just dealing with her and gettin her ready to leave then you can get out of here" sweet right?
but he comes back more throughout the whole ordeal to talk to me about weed. keep in mind this girl is gettin cuffed and shoved in the back of a squad. i explain i have a med card for CO which allows me to buy shit legally and what not. he genuinely wanted to know more - not being a pig or anything. he gives me back my bowl and walks away. then he comes back and says "some of the public might have seen me give that back, so im gonna need it" we joke about the situation. drunk girl goes to jail. stoned kid goes home (i hadnt smoked enough to make me look diff but still). its pretty much socially accepted i feel like which is depressing cause the latter more dangerous shit is legal.

i can get lifted to the next fuckin time space continuum and be no where near where alcohol gets people after even a little bit for some.  i just turned 21 a few months ago and am now proud to say i can buy beer. which is scary because i know what it does and i know how most kids "these days" are all about gettin crunk, especially if its legal. so what do you say to a kid who gets an underage drinking ticket? involving no car or motor vehicle. just drinking under the age... "wait till your old enough to do this legally"? so he/she can make terrible decisions when theyre old enough to be charged as an adult... great.
