Best album of the decade.

Searched, didn't find. If there's already one and you find it, feel free to ignore this thread.

What do you think is the best album of the 2000-2010? And by best I mean, most enjoyable for you.

I think the best album is Absolution - Muse. I think the theme was great, the songs were so epic and the lyrics were so awesome. I just loved it. I still listen to it on a regular basis.



Please try not to hate on other peoples albums, it's their opinion, you just have a different one.

What do you think was the best?

Yea but Carter II had nowhere near the commercial success of Carter III.  When Carter III dropped every single person you knew dl'd the album and was like holy shit this is fire.  I remember everyone was so into the Carter III, including myself.  Yea songs have been played to death but when I look back at the past decade, I'm like damn the Carter III was a fucking huge landmark album in hip hop history-launched lil wayne to mainstream and stardom.  But yea, if it was 'lil wayne's best album' thread, I'd be saying Carter II, nah mean?

Clearly I know nothing past the genre of hip hop so don't give me shit for that

But if we're talking within rap, name any of those albums and I can defend 100% why they are on that list.

And I'm sure I forgot some but that was just off my head and I don't feel like compiling a real list

Why are people afraid to put one album. You can't have 5 bests. There's only one in your mind, quit being a pussy and pick it.

With that said I won't pick one unless I think about it and scour my music selection. Best is a term best not taken lightly.

I am too, but I don't think I could ever pick a hip hop album as the best of a decade. Not enough musical artistry goes in to them, in my opinion, aside for a select few.

Muse - Black Holes and Revelations

Clear standout in my mind. Matt Bellamy is the next Hendrix, our generations guitar god. The guy is fucking absurd on the axe and can play things most can't while running and jumping around.

not so much for new hip-hop past 97 or so even though id consider this the genre i know best. i'd go with the walkmen for new music, specifically, "everyone who pretended to like me is gone". check it out!

A Cross The Universe - Justice

In my opinion, there have not been very many *excellent* albums in the last decade, but that one certainly qualifies.
