duuude, i thought the storm took a turn north or something...I live in Plattsburgh and have been looking at green grass for about 2 weeks...thanks for the let down
First off, it's spelled Appalachian. Its just Appalachian Trail, or AT for short. Third, the Adirondacks are not part of said trail.
And yes, we usually get snow, but this season (at least in albany) we have like only 20 inches so far at the airport, more int eh mountains, which is 13" below normal for this time of year.Every storm has been south of us, except for one, which went north and hit the Burlington area hard.
I guess the mid atlantic states where the AT goes though like Maryland, WV, VA, Delaware, etc got pounded though, good thing most thru hikers arent out yet. (except for maybe a few you are still down in the Georgia/NC area). In 18 days though it will be the 3 year anniversery of when I started my thru hike jea jea
