FKS Brake Problem

Well I know FKS are notorious for the brakes breaking so I think mine might be broken. Yesterday I was carving off a jump and apparently my brake was hanging down and popped off. The thing is I never fell before that so I'm not sure how the brake hangs below the ski when my boots are in. So when my boot is in the heel piece the brake comes up but doesn't sit flush on top of the ski. I had to bend it up yesterday so I could ski the rest of the day but I'm still kind of worried about it dropping below the ski and catching on the lip of the jump again. Any suggestions?

put them in a box and ship them to me?

I won't send them back untill I am 100% sure that they are not broken, and will work like they did when they were new.
