Ski lift stories

I really hope no one has made this thread yet, if so please delete it mods. This thread is for you guys to share your great lift stories! I know I have a few funny ones, some which i cannot even remember. But feel free to say anything, things that happen to you, the people in front of you on the lift, and things in the lift line.

I'll start off with a story of my own. One of my favorites was the time when we were going up a chair lift at Stevens Pass and a girl in front of us was swinging her legs back and forth and she popped off her ski, then she started freaking out and she turned around quickly and popped her other ski off by accident, this was on one of the hardest runs that the lift went over. it was pretty funny seeing her get off the lift too.

haha i remember at Windells we had roundhouse as a counceler and he got us to play a game where the first person to get a picture kissing a random girl on the chairlift got a ton of free shwag

Rollback... need i say more, serioulsy the scariest 10 min lift ride of my life. chair stopped then rolled back a good 30 to 40 ft picking up speed before it slammed to a stop, then the had it on the slowest possible speed to the top incase it happened again, not fun.

That would be so bad ..... Today I was at mslm and told me all about his sex life. His girlfriend which he was skiing with was on our chair while this was happening.

I wasnt on the chairlift luckly, but it broke down for a good hour and half, the people on it were gettin pissed. so they had to bring in these ladder things to get them down, it looked scary as fuck......they were like rope ladders goin up a treehouse, and before that, part of the chairlift was stuck over the halfpipe and some dude thought he could drop in from the chairlift cause he was tired of waiting, yea it was a fail.

My friend Matt (Mattridesskis) and I were on a lift that would stop, roll forward about 10ft then stop again.  After the 3rd or 4th time it did that, he yelled "FUUUCCCK, I'M GETTING BLUE BALLS!!!!!" I proceeded to lol all over the place

I was on the chair and under us was a dude popped out of his skis looking around for something and then we hear "CALL IT AGAIN", you would hear the phone ring maybe half a second, then everyone on the lift would yell as loud as they could. Then "FUCK ALL YOU AND YOUR MOTHERS!!!!!!!!!!1!11" I lol'ed pretty hard that day.

I asked this guy his name, and then proceeded to yell at him for 30 minutes about how shitty his name was, and how he shouldn't talk to strangers. I told him I was his dad, and then asked if he would ski with us, we spent 3 hours skiing together, good day.

I was on a lift with this random girl who mentioned that she loves sean pettit... I convinced her that I was Sean pettit. She asked about my skis... "why aren't they K2?". I managed to convince her that sean's deal with K2 ran up and he signed with Volkl.

My buddy gave me away by cracking up near the end of the ride... Damn

this mad gaper lady in a 1 piece purple suit was talking about going through the med park at carinthia. she told me she went through a small one and fell hard on a jump and hit her head. then she pointed to a flat box. and said thats it! thats the jump i almost died on!

dude that shit is NOT FUCKIN COOL>.. i had that happen at ski bowl two years ago on upper bowl chair.. went back about 15 feet and then the dog brake kicked in.. me and my buddy who were lifties were about to jump cause where we were it wold have been about 10 foot drop

i was in fernie and this kid i went up the chair with was tripping pretty hard,...

he ended up being from about 2 hours from my house back home(ontario), and told me a story of how he was working at a hotel...and was on acid and saw micheal jackson at his hotel lol.

he was soooo stoked he saw mj. (this was last year before he died)

i was on the highest part of the chairlift during a shitty spring day when there is really strong wind. the next thing i know there is this flash (transformer across the street blew). so me and my friend are stuck on the highest point of the ride and now the wind is really picking up, like the trees are bending over. then all of the sudden lightning strikes the top of the mountain ( we are still stuck). finally the generaters kick in and we get to the top and find out there were gust's of up to 60 miles per hour. they closed the mountain, it was scariest thing i have ever experienced.

Na i went to session 5 i think. but yeah roundhouse told us the most insane stories haha (that one included). did he ever do that thing to you where he was like, " dont make me CUTCHYOU!"

When i was first learning to ski, i was skiing with my friend and his older brother. As we came to the top of the lift, my friend decided to reach back and pull the tail of my ski, which pulled me right under the bar and I fell about 10 feet into a mound of snow. Pretty embarassing seeing as I was like 8 or 9.

An instructor buddy of mine was way hung over.  He was riding up the lift with his students and he started to feel sick.  He points over to the opposite trees and say "look, a Lynx".  While they all look over to see the Lynx he turns and blows chunks off the other side of the chair.  Apparently his students didn't notice.

old story

nite skking at timberline riding up mollies ex.press we get to the high point in the chair and my buddy who has cystic fibrosis( NASTY SHIT MUCUS AND MORE SHIT) is hacking away like all hell halcks up some feirce nasty loogie.. and hacks it.. now at this time there are some snowboarders down below straping in.. and this huge chunk of lung butter is comming down in such a matter that this one guy wearing a hlemut looks up to only get complety pooned by this mass of mucus... i hurd the splat and with the light the splater effect was very well documanted , im like oh shit.. lucky for us the lift stopped at that instant, instantly the kid starts pukeing and screaming. we were laughing so fuckin hard and this kid is roling around.. blinded and coverd in puke and mucus.. the kids older brother is like.. IM GONNA KICK YOUR ASS,, my buddy whos a hot headed motherfucker is like.. AWSOME... so we role down. and this kid is still crying like nancy carigan and his brother sees the 4 of us and starts talking shit. we tell him off and say go fuck you self dont sit under the lift

My sisters friend had a job for a season to ride up with this one girl everytime because she would randomly fall alseep and fall off the lift (her job was to prevent the fall from happening)

Some kids at my mountain were smoking a blunt in the gondola and some old guy didnt like it so they threatened to throw him out the door. This was all caught on video and is now somewhere on youtube. Wish i could find it

One of my favorite chair rides occured at the age of, oh... 9 maybe, when some like 20 year old guy told me his name was queefin steve and that his favorite run was big queef.

This makes more sense if your from stevens.

But me and my friends have all sorts of fun games we play on chair lifts, the most fun one being the one where we tell the most outrageous lies to random people and see what kinda crap people buy.  For example the time I convinced a dad wife and child that my dad was Steven of Stevens Pass.. Hahahahah

so i had to stop in the lodge to drop a shit. only lodge with decent bathrooms is down on the beginers slope and the chair that takes one to the that will also get you onto the park and finally back onto the good chairs. So i hop in the single  line and wind up cramming on the 3 seat chair with these two fat chicks.... and when i say fat i mean i was sitting on like 1/8 of the chair as one of them was probably in the 250 range and the other in about the 300lb. They start talking about some random ass shit and i notice something  on my boot  and lean to take it off. At the moment i got done leaning forward they both start screaming right in my ear. This more than startles me and i jump not expecting a blood curdling scream from point blank range, and i bucked forward and fall 15 ft out of the chair into some 2-3 ft deep crust. I wound up knocking my shoulder out of its socket. But before i left i got up to the top of the run and sprayed the living shit on them at least 3 times riding down. My shoulder still pops in and out of place thanks to this

well it had the support to hold it up but i think it was a combination of the lack of space i had to sit combined the the utter suprise of the scream that sounded like something out of the exorcist right in my ear that caused me to fall. I later found out that they were screaming because they were afraid of heights. I hate nebraskans that come ski at my hill sometimes.

one time i was on a lift with my friend and we had to share with this old guy and he put the bar down and the little thing sticking down crushed my friends ball. i laughed so hard but it turned out he had to get surgury
